What about Bebo?

With all the talk about YouTube, Facebook and MySpace some good competitors get lost in the crowd. A few days ago, I asked the question about who might be acquired next in the world of online video sites.
Today Mashable! writes a interesting post about Bebo. Wildly popular in the UK, the site is doing for bands what YouTube did for videos. Signing up 10,000 bands a week, I can’t help but wonder how many bands are there out there?
Regardless, it seems clear that we’re going to see more and more segmentation on the web. We’re seeing it across the social networking genre, with platforms for moms, politics, sports and any other niche you can think of.
Bebo seems to spotting a trend and jumping all over it. Something that we’ll continue to see as the demand for niche content continues to expand
